Dr. Archana Shrestha, MD, MS

Dr. Archana Shrestha is a board-certified emergency physician, certified physician coach, and Chief Wellness Officer with over 20 years of experience in medicine. A leader in clinician wellness, Dr. Shrestha specializes in addressing and mitigating physician burnout, helping healthcare organizations retain their most valuable talent while fostering healthier workplace cultures. Since 2020, she has developed and implemented evidence-based coaching programs that have delivered measurable success, including a proven 12-point (25%) reduction in burnout scores among participants. Her approach is informed by her personal journey of overcoming burnout, giving her a unique ability to connect with and empower clinicians.

In addition to her work with Physician Wellness Solutions, Dr. Shrestha serves as an Assistant Professor at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She is a sought-after speaker, author, and advocate for physician wellness, earning numerous accolades for her contributions to the field, including the Rising Star Award from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She was also honored as one of the 2018 Top 20 Global Women of Excellence by the U.S. Congressman Danny K. Davis in recognition of her achievements as a physician coach. 

In 2020, Archana was recognized for her dedication to serving fellow women doctors with an #IStandWithHer Honorable Mention by the Women in Medicine Summit.

Dr. Shrestha’s mission is to uplift and empower clinicians, ensuring they can thrive in their professional and personal lives while contributing to the success of healthcare organizations nationwide.

While Dr. Shrestha lives and works in the Chicago area, she works with physician groups across the United States and Canada to help improve physician wellness.
